Portland Victorian Update

Ana's 1891 Victorian had a kitchen that had been 'updated' in 2004 — which is to say, mass-market oak cabinets with ogee-profiled doors and granite countertops.

We stripped it down to the lath and specified Shaker bases in Soft Cream with glass-front uppers. The goal was to make the kitchen feel period-appropriate without being a period reproduction.

The sample program was critical here — Ana ordered every painted color and set them against her original millwork for a week before committing. Soft Cream was the clear winner.
