Ordering & Payment

How is the price calculated?
Every cabinet starts from a base price that reflects our most-common configuration. The configurator transparently adds or subtracts the cost of your specific width, height, depth, color, handle, and accessory choices. There are no hidden fees — the number you see at checkout is the number you pay.
Do I pay in full up-front, or is there a deposit?
We charge $0 at deposit. Your card is charged the full amount only when your order enters active production, typically 2–3 business days after you place it. This gives you a grace period to revise dimensions if you change your mind after finalizing your room plan.
Is financing available?
Yes. Through our Affirm partnership, you can spread any order of $500+ over 3, 6, or 12 months. For qualifying buyers, 0% APR is available on 3-month terms. Check your rate at checkout — it's a soft credit check and won't affect your score.
Can I order a sample before committing?
Absolutely. Order 4" × 4" finish chips at $10 each from our /pages/samples page. Samples ship within 48 hours and arrive in a linen sleeve with care instructions. Most customers order samples once, finalize their order within the week, and reference the samples years later when touching up.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does a cabinet take to ship?
Standard cabinets ship in 3–4 weeks from order. Glass-front and pantry units may take 4–5 weeks. Accessory kits ship within 2–3 business days. Every cabinet is built-to-order — we don't warehouse finished goods.
What does 'white-glove shipping' include?
Orders over $2,500 qualify for complimentary white-glove shipping: two-person delivery inside your home, unboxing, debris removal, and a final visual inspection. For orders under the threshold, curbside freight is a flat $175.
What if my cabinet is damaged in transit?
Every shipment is insured. If you notice damage on delivery, note it with the driver and photograph it immediately. Email support@cabinetsofamerica.com within 48 hours and we'll ship a replacement at our cost — no debate, no deductible.
Do you ship outside the continental US?
We ship to all 50 US states and Canada. International shipping is available for orders over $5,000 on a quote basis — reach out to concierge@cabinetsofamerica.com with your project details.

Installation

Can I install these myself, or do I need a contractor?
A handy DIYer with basic power tools can install our base and wall cabinets. Tall cabinets (8+ feet) and appliance-housing units should be installed by a two-person professional team. We include an install guide with every shipment and video walkthroughs on /pages/installation.
Are the cabinets pre-drilled for European hinges?
Yes. Every door is pre-bored for the 32mm European hinge system — the worldwide standard for adjustable, serviceable cabinet hardware. Hinges are installed at the factory on most configurations.
Do I need to know exact measurements when I order?
You need your room width, ceiling height, and door/window positions. We offer a free 30-minute design consultation where a specialist reviews your plan and flags any issues before you place an order. Book at /pages/contact.

Warranty & Care

What does the 10-year warranty cover?
Our 10-year warranty covers all manufacturing defects, structural integrity of the cabinet box, hinge and glide hardware, and finish adhesion under normal household use. Transferable to new homeowners at no cost.
What's not covered?
Damage from water infiltration, impact, improper installation, or modifications made after delivery. Normal wear on painted finishes is not considered a defect. Installation issues caused by non-Cabinets of America installers are the installer's responsibility.
How do I care for my finish?
Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasives, ammonia, and silicone-based polishes. For painted finishes, a yearly wipe with a dry microfiber is usually enough. Every order ships with a printed care guide.

Customization

Can I order a non-standard size?
Our configurator offers the most-common dimensional options for 95% of kitchens. For fully-bespoke dimensions, contact concierge@cabinetsofamerica.com — bespoke projects typically add 2 weeks to lead time and 15–25% to cost.
Can I get a color that's not in the palette?
Our 12-color palette is curated for longevity and durability. Custom color matching is available for orders of 10+ units — send us a paint chip, a Pantone number, or a Benjamin Moore code, and we'll lock in the formula for your order.
Can I add my own handles?
Yes. Order your cabinets with 'No Handle' and drill in your own hardware on site. We provide a drill template matching the European hinge bore pattern if you want to align handles precisely.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return a cabinet if it doesn't fit?
Stock-dimension cabinets (standard configurator selections) can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Custom-dimension cabinets are non-returnable. We strongly recommend using the free design consultation before ordering.
Can I exchange for a different color?
Color exchanges are handled as returns plus new orders. We're unable to refinish a completed cabinet because our conversion varnish requires the cabinet to be unassembled and spray-booth-conditioned.
What if I ordered the wrong product?
If the mistake is caught within 48 hours of placing your order, we can almost always modify or cancel at no cost — production hasn't started yet. After 48 hours, standard return policy applies.
