Karin is an art-history professor whose Silver Lake home is a careful exercise in Scandinavian minimalism. The kitchen needed to disappear into the rest of the house.
We specified flat-panel base cabinets in Pearl White with matching wall cabinets — no hardware, push-to-open only. The cabinet run reads as a continuous architectural surface rather than a kitchen.
The one accent is a glass-front wall cabinet at the end of the run, which houses Karin's collection of Finnish glassware. Interior LEDs switch on with the cabinet door.
